9:16 DunedinNZ, Tui sitting on Branch.MOV

This vertical close-up video features a Tūī bird, a species native to New Zealand, perched on a small branch in a forest setting.

The bird’s plumage is a stunning display of iridescent deep blues, greens, and purples that shimmer as it moves. It has a characteristic pair of white feather tufts under its chin and delicate, white lace-like feathers on its neck. Throughout the video, the bird appears alert and curious, turning its head frequently to scan its surroundings and occasionally leaning forward towards the camera.

The background is a soft blur of green forest foliage and tree trunks, creating a shallow depth of field that keeps the focus entirely on the bird. The overall mood of the video is peaceful and intimate.
